BATON ROUGE, La. – East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Elect Sid Edwards has named Baton Rouge businessman Charlie Davis as his interim Chief Administrative Officer.

Davis, 48, is a successful entrepreneur, community activist and investor with more than 25 years of experience building and scaling organizations. He is a native of the Greater Baton Rouge area and holds a degree in economics from LSU.
“Charlie loves Baton Rouge and shares my vision for building unity and improving the quality of life for every person in the parish,” Edwards said. “He’s going to help us to get off to a fast start and deliver results.”
Davis is the founder and CEO of Moxey, a unique small business network across Louisiana. “I’m looking forward to helping Coach Sid make Baton Rouge an even better place to grow up, to raise a family, and to start a company. Coach Sid is the leader that our community needs, and I’m honored to be on his team,” Davis said.
As CAO, Davis will work with the Mayor-President to establish goals for departments and individual administrators, assess policies and staffing needs, and collaborate on financial strategies and help to analyze the city-parish government’s budget.
